Accounts Payable Manager

Role Overview

Stitch Fix is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager within its Finance organization. You will lead a cross-functional, high-impact AP role balancing accounting integrity with practical business execution across the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Accounts Payable team (supervisors, coordinators, processors), fostering continuous improvement.
• Manage daily operations across the procure-to-pay lifecycle:
  • Vendor relations
  • Travel & business expenses
  • Master vendor data
• Oversee T&E platform administration and corporate card processes to ensure accurate expense reporting and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Merchandising, Operations, Engineering, and Financial Systems/IT to:
  • Evaluate changes’ impact on P2P processes
  • Provide strategic input on system design and UAT approaches
  • Partner on system updates to enhance AP functionality
• Improve AP efficiency by partnering with Merchandising and Operations to identify and implement process improvements.
• Manage monthly AP close including AP aging and GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) oversight.
• Oversee high-volume processing: ~10K+ invoices/month and 3-way matching (receipts vs. PO vs. invoice).
• Ensure prompt vendor payments, accurate reconciliation, and professional resolution support for vendors and internal partners.
• Produce analyses, schedules, and presentations supporting internal audits and tax filings.
• Use financial datasets to develop business reporting, identify upstream process optimization opportunities, and create volume/efficiency metrics.
• Perform root-cause analysis on critical AP/P2P issues and influence the Financial Systems/IT roadmap.
• Champion thoughtful adoption of agentic AI to improve AP workflows and enable new AI capabilities from technology vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant business field.
• 10+ years of experience managing Accounts Payable functions.
• Experience at a public company and/or in the retail sector is highly preferred.

• Strong system-savviness and process improvement mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence system/operational changes.
• Background using data to drive reporting, metrics, and root-cause analysis.
