Accounting Manager

Role: Accounting Manager

Work with the Controller to oversee daily accounting operations for a healthcare services organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of four accounting professionals
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger)
• Own month-end close activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Partner with the Controller on financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
• Maintain and enforce internal controls and healthcare-related reporting requirements
• Support and optimize the organization’s Workday ERP implementation
• Identify and drive process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and organizational goals

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Healthcare services accounting experience required
• Experience with financial compliance, reporting, and internal controls
• Hands-on Workday experience required (NetSuite preferred)
• Analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Contract / Location

• Remote contract with strong potential to convert to full-time
• Must reside within the Pacific Time Zone to support collaboration with the accounting team

Compensation

• $68.50/hour (weekly pay via Scion Staffing)
