Accounting Manager (Senior Accountant)

• Type: Full-time
• Commitment: 10–40 hrs/week
• Location: Remote (United States)
• Compensation: $110K–$150K/year

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process (prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments).
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounts are substantiated and documented.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
• Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA preferred).
• 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on general ledger and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP/accounting system.
• Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.
