Accounting Manager

Role Overview

Lyra Health is hiring an Accounting Manager (Full remote) to own key accounting operations, lead the month-end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements. You will report to senior leadership and support ad hoc accounting and financial projects.

Key Missions & Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close: manage accounting and operations staff through close, reporting, reconciliations, and related activities.
• Financial reporting: ensure timely and accurate reporting; present results to executive leadership.
• Variance/flux analysis: perform monthly and quarterly flux analyses for the balance sheet and income statement.
• Process improvement: initiate and drive improvements to enhance accuracy, financial control, and efficiency; identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.

Profile / Requirements

• Proven ability to operate in dynamic environments and resolve issues cross-functionally.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and project management skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with accounting/financial planning software and ERP systems (including NetSuite as a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and present to senior leadership and external partners.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, determine appropriate processes, and reach accounting conclusions.
• Experience building scalable processes, procedures, and workflows.
• Team management and development experience.
• Comfortable working end-to-end across the P&L.
• 10+ years experience in accounting, audit, advisory, and/or corporate finance.
• BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Working knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, preferably in a publicly traded company or Big 4 environment.

• Healthcare and/or startup experience.
• CPA preferred (not required).
