Accounting Manager

Role: Accounting Manager

Gemini is hiring an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations, drive accurate financial reporting, and ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Own the close process for assigned areas
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Perform analysis for technical accounting, especially digital assets and emerging guidance
• Analyze and explain financial statement line item fluctuations and trends
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Operations to ensure proper accounting treatment
• Support audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews
• Contribute to SOX implementation and internal controls documentation
• Identify accounting automation opportunities and work with the Finance Transformation team
• Mentor staff and senior accountants; help build a high-performing team
• Lead or support special projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field
• 5–7 years of accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting skills and ability to apply judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Nice to Haves

• Big 4 public accounting experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Experience with digital assets or fintech

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $112,000–$160,000 (New York), plus discretionary annual bonus and equity grant
