Role Overview
The Account Manager drives sales growth and helps build and sustain a profitable customer base for Graco products in an assigned market. The role focuses on revenue generation, customer engagement, and market development through effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Channel Development
- Identify and establish effective sales channels for assigned products and applications.
- Create targeted marketing strategies for channel promotion.
- Design and implement territory-specific sales plans (new accounts and nurturing existing ones).
- Analyze territory performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet company goals.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Customer Engagement
- Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries.
- Use CRM tools to track interactions, follow-ups, and documentation.
- Conduct regular site visits and outreach to industrial contractors and facility managers.
- Build long-term customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and support.
Market Development
- Work with internal teams to design and implement distribution programs to increase market presence.
- Evaluate existing programs and recommend improvements based on feedback and performance data.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity; provide insights to sales and marketing leadership.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to support strategic decision-making.
Product Launch and Supplier Relations
- Serve as primary liaison between customers and Graco to support new product launches.
- Implement training sessions for sales staff and channel partners on new products.
- Establish partnerships and agreements with material suppliers to support distribution.
Training and Equipment Management
- Manage training and demo equipment accounts according to corporate standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in mechanical product sales through distribution channels.
- Proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation communication.
