About the role
Role Overview
Account Manager reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer. This is a remote role with 30% travel focused on owning and growing relationships with a portfolio of retail partners across grocery, club, and e-commerce.
You will run a full-funnel sales motion: new account acquisition, P&L and trade management, and the use of syndicated data/retail media tools to drive competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Win New Retail Accounts & Onboard Them for Success
- Identify, prioritize, and pitch new retail partners to expand the company’s footprint in key channels and markets
- Build customized proposals and category stories aligned to retailer goals and the brand portfolio
- Negotiate pricing and promotional programs for long-term, profitable partnerships
- Lead end-to-end retailer onboarding (signature through first shelf-set) with Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain
- Train retail partners on product knowledge, merchandising, and sell-through strategy
Grow and Retain Existing Accounts
- Own relationships with key retail decision-makers as primary point of contact
- Build and present quarterly business reviews using syndicated and retailer data
- Sell in new SKUs to close portfolio gaps
- Renegotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional terms to protect and expand partnerships
- Monitor competitive activity and in-store dynamics and translate insights into action
Own the P&L
- Manage account-level P&Ls including revenue, trade spend, and profitability targets
- Build and execute trade budgets to maximize ROI across promotional platforms
- Flag risk early and course-correct before it impacts topline
Turn Data Into Decisions
- Pull and synthesize data from internal, retailer, and third-party sources (e.g., Nielsen, Circana, 84.51) to guide account strategy
