Account Executive (Financial Services)

Role Overview

Appian is hiring an Account Executive (Financial Services) to own a strategic, high-growth territory and lead complex enterprise sales cycles end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, end-to-end enterprise sales cycles across Commercial and Financial Services from discovery to close
• Build and maintain a robust, sustainable pipeline through strategic prospecting, territory mapping, and proactive market engagement
• Deliver high-impact, value-based presentations (virtual and in-person) to Line of Business (LOB) and IT leadership
• Communicate ROI and business value and act as a trusted advisor to senior executives
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams throughout the sales process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of direct software selling experience, including at least 2 years as an Enterprise Account Executive
• Proven quota achievement and history of winning net-new logos
• Strong communication and presentation skills with deep client discovery and ability to build financial business cases
• Experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder software solutions to Commercial, Insurance, or Financial Services clients
• Expertise in strategic sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Value-Based Selling

• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow
