3038 - React Front-End Developer – Modernization Project

Role Overview

Front-End Developer for Intertech’s modernization initiative to rebuild and modernize a large-scale enterprise application UI. You will help replace legacy UI frameworks with scalable, maintainable, and accessible solutions, supporting hundreds of UI screens across a complex platform.

Responsibilities

• Build modern, responsive UI components using React and TypeScript
• Rebuild/modernize 300+ UI screens of medium complexity
• Integrate UI components with backend services via REST and GraphQL APIs
• Collaborate with backend engineers and architects to align UI with microservices and security patterns
• Implement scalable UI architecture using TanStack (Query/Router)
• Style components using Tailwind CSS
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, estimation, iterative development)
• Support accessibility compliance efforts (WCAG 2.0/2.1)
• Work in a co-development environment with Intertech teams

Required Skills

• Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on React experience
• Tailwind CSS (or similar utility-first styling)
• TanStack (React Query and/or TanStack Router)
• Component-based architecture and modern frontend patterns
• REST API integration experience (GraphQL exposure preferred)
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS and responsive design
• Git-based version control

Nice-to-Haves

• GraphQL API experience
• Playwright (or other end-to-end testing frameworks)
• Vite or modern build tools
• Experience with Docker / containerized environments
• Familiarity with Angular (legacy/hybrid environments)
• UI modernization for large-scale enterprise systems
• Experience with public sector/government environments

Contract Details

• Fully remote contract opportunity
• Target rate: $70–$100/hour (W2, 1099, or C2C)
