Role overview

Intetics is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and operate cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
  • Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform
  • Automate provisioning and configuration management with Ansible
  • Maintain idempotent, reusable IaC for dev/staging/prod
  • Apply infra changes via GitOps workflows (PRs & approvals)
  • Optimize cloud resources for the cost vs. performance balance
• Cloud & server management (AWS)
  • Set up and maintain EC2, EKS, DynamoDB, RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, VPC, IAM, Route53
  • Implement secure networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, VPN, Route53)
  • Manage IAM roles/permissions/policies following the least privilege principle
  • Improve cost-efficiency with rightsizing, auto-scaling, reserved instances, and saving plans
• CI/CD pipelines
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or Jenkins
  • Enable zero-downtime deployments
• Database & messaging management
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize RDS PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
  • Implement backups and failover strategies
  • Tune query performance, caching, and connection pooling
  • Manage RabbitMQ clusters, queues, and message durability
• Monitoring & observability
  • Set up and manage Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Create dashboards and alerts for health/performance/failures
  • Use distributed tracing tools such as OpenTelemetry
• Security & compliance best practices
  • Implement IAM best practices (least privilege, MFA, RBAC)
  • Enforce network security (VPC isolation, security groups, WAF, private endpoints)
  • Manage secrets via AWS Secrets Manager
  • Automate security patching for OS and dependencies
  • Perform security audits, vulnerability scans, and compliance checks
• Backup & disaster recovery
  • Automate backups for databases and critical systems
  • Build DR plans aligned to RPO and RTO
  • Periodically test DR plans via simulations

Requirements

• Strong AWS infrastructure engineering experience
• Expertise in Terraform and Ansible for repeatable, automated environments
• Ability to implement secure networking and least-privilege IAM
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and/or Jenkins with zero-downtime deployments
• Hands-on with RDS (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, and RabbitMQ
• Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry
• Security/compliance experience including patching, audits, vulnerability scanning, and DR practices

• Demonstrated experience with GitOps workflows and AWS cost optimization practices
