10 - Scrum Master, Software Engineering 2

Role Overview

Scrum Master (Software Engineering 2) for a DevTestOps core team. This is an active, technically fluent role responsible for orchestrating delivery workflows across development, quality engineering, and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Agile Orchestration: Run Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives for a multi-disciplinary DevTestOps team.
• Pipeline Coordination: Manage projects integrating Jira (task management) and Azure DevOps (CI/CD) plus new engineering processes.
• Security & Compliance Tracking: Coordinate rollout/maintenance of security tools (e.g., BlackDuck, Coverity, Opswat, Mythos) and ensure vulnerability remediation is prioritized in the backlog.
• Infrastructure Management: Track scaling and maintenance of automation testing infrastructure and software build environments.
• Data-Driven Insights: Maintain dashboards for build health, test coverage, and security posture.
• Quality Insights with AI: Use AI to analyze long-term quality trends and predict potential regressions.
• Blocker Removal: Identify and resolve delivery pipeline bottlenecks (technical, resourcing, or process).
• Continuous Improvement: Advocate for improvements to unreliable/inefficient engineering operations processes.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Drive collaboration between DevTestOps and product development engineering teams.

Required Skills / Competencies

• Strong experience leading agile ceremonies and coordinating delivery across engineering teams.
• Proficiency with engineering delivery ecosystem tools:
  • Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitLab
  • qTest, Selenium, SPyTest
  • BlackDuck, Coverity, Opswat, Lint, sanitizers
  • Jenkins/ADO Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
• Coding/technical fluency: Python and use of an IDE such as VSCode.

Education & Experience

• 10–15 years typical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
