Web Designer & Developer

Overview

Join Hypha as a Web Designer & Developer to design, build, and maintain websites and digital assets for diverse clients, primarily on the HubSpot CMS platform. You'll work alongside senior developers with real mentorship and hands-on client work from day one in a collaborative agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and update web pages and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Assist with development and maintenance of custom HubSpot CMS modules and templates
• Perform routine site updates, quality assurance checks, and basic troubleshooting
• Translate designs from Figma into clean, responsive code
• Support accessibility improvements and learn WCAG best practices
• Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to meet client deadlines
• Learn and apply HubSpot tools, HubL templating, and HubDB

Requirements

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with hands-on building experience
• Experience with HubSpot CMS or other CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, etc.)
• Comfort with responsive and mobile-first design principles
• Ability to read and modify existing codebases
• Basic understanding of how the web works (browsers, HTTP, DNS, hosting)
• Eagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to ask good questions

Nice-to-Haves

• Any exposure to HubSpot CMS, HubL, or marketing CMS platforms
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries or frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap, GSAP, React)
• Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals
• Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude)
• Portfolio, personal projects, or freelance work
