Role Overview
Join DataAnnotation as a UX Researcher to help train and improve AI models' understanding of design work. You'll assess and enhance how AI systems understand, generate, and evaluate interfaces, layouts, visuals, and user experiences. Your design expertise will be used to evaluate AI outputs and help refine the model's sense of aesthetics, usability, and creative quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visuals
- Evaluate the quality produced by AI models for correctness and performance
- Help train models to better understand aesthetic quality and user-centered design
- Provide detailed feedback to shape how next-generation AI tools support designers
Requirements
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual level)
- Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow
- Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice
- Current, in progress, or completed Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)
- Must be located in the United States
Position Details
- Type: Full-time or part-time remote
- Schedule: Work on your own schedule
- Project Selection: Choose which projects you want to work on
- Compensation: General AI training projects start at $20+/hr; design-focused projects start at $40+/hr, with bonuses for exceptional work
- Payment Method: PayPal (handles currency conversion from USD)
Note
This is an independent contract position. Designers apply through a general core assessment, then complete a qualification for Web & UI/UX Design to access design-specific projects.
