UX Research Internship

Position Overview

Join Deltek's UX Team as a 10-week summer intern working on continuous research activities across high-priority business projects. You'll work remotely with a global team, reporting to the Director of UX, executing real research that directly informs product and design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute continuous research activities including participant recruitment, facilitation, and documentation
• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable, stakeholder-ready insights
• Maintain and contribute to the UX Research Repository with properly structured and tagged studies
• Learn and apply AI-augmented research workflows for metadata generation, insight synthesis, and research discovery
• Support Synthetic Persona development by grounding personas in real customer data

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Information Science, or related fields
• Coursework or project experience in at least two UX research methods (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys, contextual inquiry)
• Ability to analyze qualitative or quantitative data and communicate findings clearly
• Strong writing, documentation, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to enterprise or B2B software (as a user, student project, or prior internship)
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, FigJam, Miro, or survey platforms
• Interest in AI-augmented research workflows
• Experience with journey mapping, workflow analysis, or information architecture concepts
• Portfolio or sample work demonstrating research thinking (class projects are acceptable)
