UI Application Developer

Role Overview

Create and maintain Alliance Claims processing front-end solution. Design and implement a component-based, testable library of UI components while demonstrating creativity in UI/UX design implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Angular Web Development

• Build and implement secure, efficient, and visually aesthetic user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular with HTML and CSS/SCSS
• Create adaptable and secure interfaces applying latest front-end technology and security best practices
• Lead product-analysis tasks and conduct performance tests
• Implement complex components requiring significant research and analysis
• Ensure clear dependency chain for app logic and file system structure
• Assist with and create wireframing documents

Collaboration

• Collaborate with developers and QA/QE team members on security, performance, and reliability
• Interact with business teams to understand project and feature requirements
• Work with support staff to identify and resolve production-level bugs and obstacles
• Participate in architectural discussions and status updates
• Demonstrate newly developed apps and features to stakeholders

Documentation and Process Improvement

• Identify process, programming, or architectural improvements
• Document development tasks using TFS
• Write code documentation using JSDoc or similar methods

Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Community College/Technical School degree in computer science or related field + 6 years experience in applications/database development, OR
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field + 4 years experience in web programming, BI applications, or related Big Data systems

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript (TypeScript) and Angular framework
• HTML, CSS/SCSS expertise
• Telerik components knowledge
• Angular security best practices (Authorization/Authentication)
• Deep Angular knowledge and module expertise
• Creating reusable, testable, self-contained modules and components
• Cross-browser compatible code writing
• External web services communication
• Understanding of platform, database, API, caching layer, and web services
• RxJS or similar reactive programming
• Unit testing and e2e testing (Protractor or alternatives)
• Proficiency with VS, VSCode, SSMS development environments
• GIT version control and CI/CD pipeline concepts
• Project management skills
• Wireframing expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) Certification
• Experience in behavioral healthcare agency
• Microsoft certified training in relevant technologies
• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies

Work Environment

• Full-time remote position
• Must reside in North Carolina
• Some onsite travel to Morrisville office may be required
