About the role

Role Overview

Kobie is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the successful execution of the product portfolio and optimize delivery across engineering teams. This is a process leadership role focused on improving operations, managing workflows, and enabling delivery through visibility, structure, and collaboration—not a developer position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from intake and discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and client commitments
  • Queue Management: Maintain comprehensive awareness of all product and feature queues; own dashboards tracking queue volume, SLA adherence, backlog health, and delivery timelines
  • Workflow Optimization: Ensure smooth and efficient flow of requests and tasks to minimize wait times and improve service delivery
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data to identify improvement areas and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Planning & Alignment: Lead quarterly planning sessions and facilitate quarterly commitment alignment across teams
  • Tracking & Reporting: Use Jira to review Product Owner updates for features within Program Increments (PIs); ensure documentation of scope, budget, timeline changes, and associated risks
  • Risk Management: Call out, track, report, and follow through on risks and issues until resolution
  • Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear communications to stakeholders at all levels, including executive summaries of status, risks, dependencies, and timelines
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as primary point of contact for product requests, backlog status, active development work, implementation features, and client commitments
  • Partnership & Coordination: Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure clear feature scope definition and delivery schedules; coordinate seamless handoffs between teams
  • Prioritization Support: Support prioritization of initiatives based on strategic objectives, resource constraints, and ROI
  • Process Improvement: Help evolve best practices, templates, frameworks, and dashboards to improve delivery, consistency, and transparency
  • Business Transition Management: Drive understanding and value fulfillment of delivered features
  • Continuous Improvement: Use metrics and trends to guide operational maturity and process optimization
