Role Overview

Technical Program Manager to lead the evolution of Acorns' Trade and Risk Platform, ensuring high-quality customer experiences while maintaining robust risk management and scaling systems for global use.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy

Collaborate with Trading Operations, Risk, and Data Science teams to define and execute the trade, risk, and operations roadmap
Enable Acorns' day-to-day trading operations to scale effectively
Ensure the risk platform is dynamic to support new product opportunities

Customer Experience Optimization

Improve the day-to-day trading experience
Lead improvements for product experience related to risk and trading
Deliver high-quality customer experience while implementing "Smart Friction" to keep customers safe

Risk Workflow Orchestration

Build and manage tools that empower Risk Operations teams to independently update rules and manage queues
Reduce dependency on constant engineering support

Vendor Management

Evaluate and implement third-party trading, risk, and operations tools
Improve operational efficiency and unlock new capabilities

Operational Efficiency

Treat "Operations as a Customer" by driving AI workflow strategies
Scale the team's value and efficiency

Requirements

Experience: 4+ years of Program Management in Fintech, Risk, Financial Operations, or Payments
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of APIs, SQL, and Machine Learning decisioning engines
Customer Focus: Prioritize both Acorns customers and internal operations teams
Agile Leadership: Articulate complex trade-offs to stakeholders with a builder mindset
Data Analysis: Expertise in data analysis to communicate risk vs. friction trade-offs
Drive: Exceptional drive and precision in delivering game-changing products
