About the role
Role Overview
As a Staff Product Manager for DocSend, you'll lead product strategy across the entire business while partnering with a dedicated engineering squad. This role requires a rare blend of product, go-to-market, and operational expertise, with flexibility to identify new customer segments and build capabilities to reach them.
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for DocSend
- Balance roadmap between foundational improvements and feature delivery to maximize user value
- Become an expert in customer needs through primary research and data insights across all segments
- Own complex, multi-quarter initiatives end-to-end: from product specs and success metrics to cross-business execution and organizational learnings
- Drive business results by identifying problems, developing solutions, and estimating delivery impact
- Navigate execution challenges through trade-offs, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication
- Communicate clearly with leadership on tradeoffs and strategic rationale, driving alignment through formal and agile processes
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager with proven track record of shipping high-quality, user-facing products
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Applied Math, or Statistics (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex user workflows into simple, delightful, and intuitive experiences
- Proven success defining and driving multi-quarter initiatives that deliver business impact
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to connect features to business outcomes
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to articulate complexity clearly and inspire engineers and executives
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in collaborative environments and operate effectively amid ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience owning a B2B SaaS product end-to-end
- Proven ability to influence without authority; mentoring PMs or serving as cultural leader in high-performing product organization
- Strong data analytics skills to independently query, analyze, and generate insights for product direction
