Role Overview

A Staff Apple Engineer position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Apple applications (iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS) that reach millions of users. This is a high-impact role emphasizing architecture, performance, security, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement architecture for Apple applications across iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS platforms
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers on new features and enhancements
• Develop secure networking and connectivity layers, including VPN-related functionality
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, user-friendly interfaces
• Write clean, modular, maintainable code following OOP principles and modern Swift best practices
• Implement unit tests and contribute to test-driven development culture
• Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards, performance, and security
• Optimize app performance, network reliability, and stability
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering collaborative team environment

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Experience: Extensive Apple development with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Swift Concurrency (async/await, Task, structured concurrency)
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTPS, TLS, DNS)
  • VPN technologies and Apple Network Extension frameworks (highly valued)
  • RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration
  • Unit testing, test-driven development, and automated testing tools
• Development Practices: SDLC, Git version control, CI/CD, code review processes
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving, debugging, mentoring, collaboration, passion for staying current with Apple development trends
