About the role

Role Overview

Join Bump as the first Site Reliability & Security Engineer (SRE), making a direct impact on the company's infrastructure and establishing its SRE culture. You'll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to ensure quality, scalability, and performance of the backend.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Audit: Assess current GCP and Kubernetes setup, proposing evolution paths to support company growth
Infrastructure Management: Evolve infrastructure with a focus on tested, automated, and reversible changes
Monitoring & Observability: Implement dashboards, set up relevant alerts, and help the team define SLI/SLO metrics
CI/CD & Automation: Manage and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines
Security: Ensure ISO 27001 compliance and implement DevSecOps practices

Required Experience

At least 5 years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Security roles
Significant experience in a scale-up environment
Strong expertise with Kubernetes and CI/CD automation (ideally GitHub Actions)
Pragmatic approach to technical excellence vs. business reality
Developer experience (DevX) mindset—design infrastructure as a product for developers
Pragmatic security culture and DevSecOps automation experience
ISO 27001 compliance familiarity
