SRE / DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Join Kraken's Developer-Experience (DX) team as an SRE / DevOps Engineer. This role focuses on building and supporting infrastructure and tools both on-premises and in the cloud, working closely with product-engineering teams to identify and eliminate friction in the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and support infrastructure and tools (on-prem and cloud-based)
• Drive standardization through RFCs and internal guides covering process improvements, reliability patterns, and best practices
• Support and guide engineers on SRE-related topics
• Partner with product-development teams to identify and eliminate friction in development workflows
• Configure and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) systems
• Monitor and improve system reliability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana

Required Skills

• 3+ years in a DevOps or SRE role
• 3+ years experience with a systems programming language (e.g., Rust)
• Proficiency in Git source version control
• Thorough knowledge of Docker and experience with Terraform
• Experience configuring Continuous Integration (CI)
• Expertise with monitoring/alerting tools (primarily Prometheus/Grafana)
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
• Linux system administration experience
• Knowledge of network and operating system debugging
• Ability to work independently and remotely in a team-based environment
• Self-starter mentality with ability to context-switch between projects
• Interest in security and security-conscious development practices
