Role Overview

Software Engineer (Remote) at Synodus - a full-stack development role focused on designing and maintaining both backend and frontend systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python
Develop and maintain frontend applications using modern frameworks (React or Vue)
Collaborate on system architecture and contribute to technical design discussions
Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices and clean architecture principles
Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure optimal performance and scalability
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps
Continuously research and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency

Requirements

Strong experience in Python development
Solid experience with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift
Understanding of NoSQL databases, particularly Neo4j
Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React or Vue)
Experience working with TypeScript
Familiarity with Storybook
Understanding of frontend build tools such as Webpack and Vite
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken)

Nice-to-Haves

Familiarity with GoLang
Good understanding of software design principles and clean architecture
