Role Overview
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with customers and the engineering team on enhancing, optimizing, validating, and automating MinIO's cloud-native storage platform. This role combines DevOps and software engineering to ensure MinIO delivers high-quality products with exceptional performance, scalability, and durability for demanding workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance, optimize, validate, and automate core MinIO software for performance, scalability, and security
- Build and deliver high-performance distributed storage solutions with a focus on cloud-native architectures
- Validate MinIO Software according to customer environments and requirements to ensure smooth deployments
- Improve existing features, fix critical issues, and contribute to open-source repositories
- Collaborate with engineers to refine architecture, APIs, and integrations
- Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code
- Conduct performance benchmarking and debugging of complex storage environments
- Work closely with customers to address issues and manage expectations
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep expertise in DevOps practices and SRE principles
- Strong background in systems programming and distributed computing
- Knowledge of storage architectures
- Experience with cloud-native platforms and technologies
- Ability to work in a world-class engineering environment focused on pushing the boundaries of object storage
