About the role
Role Overview
As a ServiceNow App Engine Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying ServiceNow solutions for federal clients. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, customizing, and implementing ServiceNow applications to meet specific business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Discovery & Design: Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand business outcomes, document functional requirements, and translate them into effective ServiceNow solution designs
- Technical Implementation: Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies; implement ServiceNow solutions aligned with designed requirements and industry best practices
- Data Migration: Support data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow, ensuring data accuracy and consistency; validate optimal ServiceNow data structures and schemas
- Integration Management: Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications to create seamless end-to-end processes
- Technical Documentation: Create detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of configurations, validate functionality and data integrity, and address issues
- User Training & Change Management: Support end-user training and change management efforts during transition periods
- Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations
- Security & Compliance: Adhere to security best practices and ensure solutions meet relevant compliance requirements
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on ServiceNow features and maintain certifications
Required Experience & Qualifications
- US Citizenship (required for federal contract)
- Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance
- Must reside and work in the United States
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 1+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions
Desired Skills
- 1+ years of experience with CSM or ITSM
- 1+ years of troubleshooting and resolving ServiceNow technical issues
- 1+ years of advanced ServiceNow scripting experience
