Senior UX/UI Designer (Web) | Mapping Tech (Remote in Europe)

Role Overview

Senior UX/UI Designer focused on creating visually compelling and conversion-driven web experiences for MapTiler's marketing presence. This role involves designing high-performance landing pages, managing design systems, and translating complex technical concepts into intuitive digital interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Landing Page Design: Lead UX/UI design for marketing landing pages with emphasis on user journeys, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and interactive elements
• Website Improvements: Own end-to-end design process, transforming static brand assets into responsive, user-centric digital interfaces
• User Research Review: Analyze heat maps, user research, screen recordings, and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Design System Ownership: Maintain and evolve MapTiler's design system in Figma
• Prototyping & Visualization: Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for launch campaigns and stakeholder reviews
• Technical Storytelling: Transform abstract technical concepts (vector tiles, APIs, geocoding) into accessible web content
• Information Architecture: Organize MapTiler's technical offerings into intuitive site structures that reduce user friction
• Iteration & Delivery: Interpret feedback, iterate quickly, and deliver polished final assets

Requirements

• 5+ years of UX/UI design experience with a senior-level approach
• Advanced Figma proficiency: auto layout, components, design systems, and developer handoff
• Conversion-centric portfolio: Demonstrate how design choices drove measurable user actions (sign-ups, clicks, trial starts)
• Deep UX understanding: Psychology, conversion-led design, and ability to translate brand guidelines into high-performing interfaces
• Excellent communication: Clear articulation of design decisions and pixel-perfect handoff precision
• Collaborative mindset: Proactive team player with strong learning drive
• Technical approach: Focus on system architecture, functional logic, and scalability beyond visual aesthetics
