Role Overview

Join Headspace's Employer Solutions team as a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to design, develop, and deliver scalable mobile systems and features. You'll own end-to-end delivery of enrollment and content experience features while collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape the future of Headspace's mobile platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of enrollment and content experience features for the Headspace mobile application, ensuring scalability and performance across a growing employer user base
• Drive technical design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications and evaluate tradeoffs
• Own end-to-end delivery of features, including writing and maintaining high-quality, performant code following best practices
• Ensure system quality through comprehensive unit testing and end-to-end testing across diverse edge cases
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards and quality management
• Provide technical guidance to peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools
• Leverage expertise in mobile architecture and design patterns to shape the platform's future

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and delivering production mobile applications, with ownership of features or systems from design through release
• 2+ years of native Android and/or iOS development with respective SDKs
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing with Flutter, including deep familiarity with frameworks, third-party libraries, and APIs
• Expertise in mobile architecture and design patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.)
• Proficiency with Git version control and mobile development tools
• Experience implementing comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end)
• Experience building or supporting data-driven or AI-enabled mobile features
• Strong independent decision-making ability based on requirements and constraints
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
