Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer at Loancrate, a fully remote position leading the team in building the future of home buying automation in the US. You'll ship code to production on day one and dive into mission-critical projects within your first month.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and launch complex, multi-step AI agents that digitize customer operations workflows and save millions annually
• Integrate with 3rd-party lending service APIs for document generation, automated underwriting, and fraud prevention
• Design and build next-generation job processing infrastructure on AWS to improve observability and reliability
• Contribute to high-velocity engineering culture with focus on shipping fast and maintaining excellent developer experience

Tech Stack

• Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, React (frontend), Node.js/Express (backend), GraphQL/Apollo
• Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, Kafka, ElasticSearch), Terraform, Docker
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Development: End-to-end type safety, full-stack code sharing via monorepo, comprehensive testing utilities, reproducible infrastructure

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience with TypeScript full-stack development
• Ability to dive deep quickly and work independently

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with modern AI product development lifecycles (evals, experiment design, dataset curation)
• Experience wrangle non-deterministic LLMs into reliable mission-critical systems
• Strong security mindset with keen eye for security risks
• Experience with high-volume, sensitive data handling
