About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at LearnLux, you'll design and build scalable backend systems powering an enterprise-grade SaaS product focused on financial wellness. This is a hands-on role in a small, agile engineering team where you'll lead projects tackling complex technical challenges including distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, data systems, and AI-enabled features.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build backend services and systems for LearnLux's enterprise SaaS platform
Contribute to platform architecture evolution, including multi-tenancy and system scalability
Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure for reliability and performance, primarily on GCP
Apply engineering fundamentals to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant
Work with infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi preferred, or Terraform)
Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python
Drive engineering efficiency through automation and AI-driven systems
Support global performance, reliability, and operational excellence
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing

Requirements

Strong backend engineering experience with demonstrated project ownership
Proven experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems in SaaS environments
Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts
Experience with GCP (AWS experience welcomed)
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools
Expertise in Node.js and/or Python

Nice-to-Haves

AWS cloud platform experience
AI/ML systems knowledge
Experience with financial or compliance-heavy systems
