Senior Software Engineer I (SE4 - Remote)

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer I (SE4) - a remote position for a Senior Full Stack Developer or Senior DevSecOps Engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance applications for defense/intelligence customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply advanced software engineering expertise to design, develop, and implement complex programming tasks
• Identify, capture, understand, translate, and document customer requirements
• Define system and product requirements; manage and document system configurations
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code meeting technical requirements
• Deploy secure systems and networks on classified and secured environments
• Produce technical reports, documentation, analysis reports, and briefings
• Conduct troubleshooting, remediation, and post-implementation support
• Work independently and collaboratively within a Scrum team environment
• Integrate security into CI/CD workflows and deployment pipelines
• Actively contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology
• 10+ years of relevant software development experience
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Practical working knowledge of the Scrum framework
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across all business levels

Nice-to-Haves

• Active TS/SCI security clearance (desired)
• DevSecOps expertise and security-focused development background
• Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud-native environments
• Experience deploying applications on classified networks
