About the role
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack, you will develop and maintain modern software products that streamline operations and accelerate clinical research at Care Access. You'll work within a cross-functional team using full-stack TypeScript to deliver user-empowering experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack web applications using modern TypeScript in a functional-first style
- Implement clean, intuitive UIs from Figma mockups, collaborating closely with product designers
- Build efficient, scalable, and secure backend APIs using Node.js and PostgreSQL
- Conduct code reviews and mentorship to maintain technical excellence standards
- Proactively improve codebases, maintain low technical debt, and align data models with real-world domains
- Support production systems through deployments, incident response, and DevOps collaboration
- Write and review design documents; lead technical discussions on system architecture
- Work with QA Engineers to ensure features are well-documented and testable
- Participate in Agile methodologies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in both front-end and back-end web development
- Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Experience with functional programming techniques
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
