Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join our Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer to build and enhance mission-critical healthcare technology that powers clinical letter generation, notification systems, and queue management. You'll work on a modern full-stack platform serving over 15 million health plan members.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end features and platform enhancements across cloud infrastructure and web applications
• Own the full software development lifecycle from technical design through production deployment and monitoring
• Support all layers of the platform: database design, backend services (Java, Python, Groovy), and frontend applications (React, TypeScript)
• Lead technical design discussions and inform architectural decisions with data-driven analysis
• Champion quality and testing best practices with comprehensive test coverage
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product, design, and clinical operations

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong backend development experience with Java, Python, or Groovy
• Demonstrated experience building web applications with React and JavaScript
• Proficiency with modern software development practices: Git, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with product and design teams
• Proven ability to own product development end-to-end with excellent design and development standards
• Thrives in fast-paced startup environments and agile teams
