Senior Program Manager, Information Security

Role Overview

Senior Program Manager for Information Security at Airbnb, leading operational initiatives, planning, and efficiency improvements within the Information Security organization. This role collaborates with senior leaders across InfoSec and the company to scale and enhance security business operations in support of business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Facilitate biannual planning cycles including goal setting, cross-functional alignment, resource allocation, and budget management. Develop and adapt frameworks to prioritize capacity across teams.
• OKR Performance Measurement: Establish and track Objective Key Results to measure effectiveness of strategic initiatives and operational processes.
• Project Execution: Drive execution of major organizational projects, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of outcomes.
• Operational Optimization: Streamline workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and scalability within InfoSec through automation, process improvements, and self-service tools. Lead change management and adoption efforts.
• Communication: Prepare company-wide InfoSec communications, including reports and emails for engineering audiences.
• Budget Management: Partner with organizational leaders on budgeting, headcount planning, and resource allocation.
• Data-Driven Insights: Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and assess effectiveness of executive operations.
• Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for project management, data analysis, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of proven experience in strategy, operations, or program management within a technology or engineering organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
• Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated experience leading and influencing complex, cross-functional programs and projects from conception to completion
• Experience collaborating with security/software engineers to identify risks, think strategically, and translate high-level requirements into tactical plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools
• Background in Security organizations with understanding of security concepts and broad range of risks and controls
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows (automation, summarization/synthesis, risk identification)
