About the role

Role Overview

As Senior Product Manager II, Risk at Housecall Pro, you lead the RiskSquad and partner closely with Risk Operations and Risk Analytics to identify and solve vulnerabilities across the platform. You work horizontally across 20+ product teams to identify platform risk and deliver scalable solutions that protect money movement, accounts, and communications while minimizing friction for legitimate users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own or heavily influence the risk roadmap across critical areas: payments risk, account takeover (ATO), money movement, and communications abuse/spam
  • Partner with engineering and Risk Operations to identify and quantify risk, balancing loss prevention, user friction, conversion, support burden, and engineering cost
  • Translate operational insights into product by working with Risk stakeholders to convert data insights and operational pain points into shippable product changes
  • Lead cross-squad initiatives spanning multiple domains to define, scope, and drive risk protections
  • Design scalable risk capabilities including signals, limits, enforcement patterns, audit logs, and policy frameworks
  • Drive incident response for emerging fraud/abuse patterns: containment, remediation, retro, and durable hardening
  • Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and lead vendor/partner assessments for third-party solutions
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear documentation and alignment
