About the role

Role Overview

Senior Product Manager responsible for owning the email channel delivery strategy for Bloomreach Engagement, including product management and third-party vendor partnerships. This role ensures reliable, scalable, and compliant email deliverability across both in-house capabilities and external integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management & Partnerships

  • Own and manage technical relationships with email service providers (ESPs) and inbox technology partners
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors to improve cost, reliability, inbox placement, and overall deliverability
  • Escalate feature requests, influence vendor roadmaps, and drive vendor-side improvements
  • Collaborate with vendors on industry best practices for deliverability, authentication, reputation management, and performance optimization
  • Oversee onboarding and management of email delivery vendors across all regions

Product Roadmap & Strategy

  • Prioritize email channel delivery features and define, manage, and execute the product roadmap
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the Email API and delivery-related capabilities for maximized deliverability, reliability, cost efficiency, and throughput
  • Develop improvements for email delivery monitoring, analytics, and alerting (bounce handling, spam complaints, inbox placement, latency, throttling)
  • Identify opportunities to productize deliverability workflows, operational tooling, and reputation management processes
  • Develop roadmap for new email-related capabilities supporting upmarket growth and vertical expansion
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI advancements in email delivery

Technical & Internal Leadership

  • Lead implementation of email integrations in collaboration with Engineering teams
  • Serve as domain expert and champion for email internally, owning business outcomes
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Product Marketing, Deliverability Services, and Customer Success teams
  • Support enterprise deals with deep product expertise, technical validation, and customer-specific request handling

Customer & Compliance Focus

  • Collaborate with Delivery Services to understand operational challenges and customer feedback
  • Gather, synthesize, and prioritize customer and prospect feedback on email performance
  • Stay current on global email compliance regulations and industry standards (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, Apple Mail Privacy Protection, Google/Yahoo sender requirements)
  • Translate compliance and ecosystem changes into product requirements and platform capabilities
