About the role
Role Overview
G2 is seeking an exceptional Senior Product Manager to join the Data team and shape the future of G2's data products. You will play a pivotal role in discovering, developing, and delivering new data products that drive value for customers and partners. This role requires deep curiosity about data, obsession with customer problems, and bias toward action.
Key Responsibilities
- Roadmap Ownership: Own the roadmap for G2's data products by synthesizing market opportunities, customer feedback, and business goals to shape winning product strategy and identify new data sets
- Customer Discovery: Engage directly with customers to understand data challenges, conduct discovery interviews, analyze usage patterns, and translate insights into actionable product opportunities
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with key partners (Salesforce, HubSpot, AWS, and others) to identify integration opportunities, lead co-development, and drive go-to-market strategies
- AI & Innovation: Lead creation of new business intelligence tools and AI-powered data applications, identifying ways to leverage agentic AI for innovative data solutions
- Communication & Leadership: Communicate data product roadmap, priorities, and requirements to leadership and stakeholders as the go-to expert for all data-related initiatives
- Requirements Definition: Define detailed requirements and project scope for new data products by balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
Requirements
- Senior-level product management experience with proven track record of shipping data products or B2B SaaS products
- Strong customer discovery and user research skills
- Experience with data tools, analytics platforms, or business intelligence solutions
- Ability to work with technical teams and understand data architecture
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking with ability to identify market opportunities
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with AI/ML applications or agentic AI solutions
- Familiarity with enterprise software partnerships and integrations
- Background in data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of SaaS go-to-market strategies
