Senior Product Manager, Confluent Cloud Kafka

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager for Confluent Cloud Kafka, you'll lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the Kafka Operator experience. This role is critical to simplifying the deployment, management, and scaling of Confluent Cloud Kafka environments for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own product strategy and vision for the Cloud Kafka Operator
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
• Translate strategic objectives into comprehensive product and user experience requirements
• Collaborate across Engineering, UX/UI Design, Documentation, Support, and Field teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Partner with Product Marketing to define and execute go-to-market strategies
• Lead major product initiatives from conception through customer development to growth strategy
• Serve as the trusted resource for your product, enabling Engineering, Design, Sales, and Marketing to make informed trade-offs and build the right product

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a software product manager, ideally for a developer product
• Strong technical competency, especially with distributed data systems, public and private clouds, and stream processing
• Ability to craft product strategy and roadmap in concert with customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to distill technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Empathy for enterprise customers and passion for solving their problems
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field
