Senior Product Engineer [Backend]

Role Overview

Senior Product Engineer on Attio's Engineering team, responsible for tackling complex technical challenges that power the AI-native CRM platform. This is a full-stack backend-focused role where you'll lead projects end-to-end to solve real customer problems at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture: Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems that support new features and re-architect existing systems as scaling demands grow
• Project Leadership: Lead projects end-to-end to solve real customer problems
• API Design: Design REST API contracts for both internal and external consumers that are intuitive and easy to work with
• Technical Excellence: Ensure systems meet high standards for performance, reliability, security, and scale
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Represent Attio's Product & Engineering values internally and externally; communicate technical ideas to the wider team and influence stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Design

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and GCP
• Experience designing scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems
• Excellent knowledge of modern Cloud Native systems architecture
• Track record of ownership and product delivery
• Proactive, self-motivated problem-solving attitude with passion for advancing distributed systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills

• Open source project contributions or participation
• Mentoring experience with other engineers
• Experience with data-rich backend applications or real-time data processing
• Curiosity about experimenting with new tools, techniques, and technologies

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: £95,000 - £125,000 annually
