Senior Product Designer

Overview

Senior Product Designer for a leading retail/e-commerce client. This is a contract role (4+ months, highly likely to be extended) offering the opportunity to impact financial performance and grow professionally with a strong leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design both visual and interaction design (UX and UI) for product experiences
• Work independently with minimal support on cross-functional product teams
• Contribute to native mobile and mobile-first web experiences
• Lead parts of larger projects collaboratively or lead smaller projects independently
• Participate in all team activities, ceremonies, and meetings
• Provide feedback to team members and contribute to strategic thought work
• Document design decisions and present rationale to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 5-7+ years hands-on experience designing product experiences or general UX design
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working on a cross-functional product team in an Agile environment
• Strong visual and interaction design skills (UX and UI)
• Seasoned communicator and problem solver with strong relationships
• Experience shipping several products or major features
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Bonus Qualifications

• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end code frameworks
• Experience designing native mobile apps
• E-commerce domain experience
• Working knowledge of design research methodologies
