Senior Manager Machine Learning Engineering

Role Overview

Paylocity is seeking a Senior Manager Machine Learning Engineering to lead and shape the company's AI/ML initiatives. This is a critical leadership role in the Product & Technology organization that combines strong technical expertise with people and project management capabilities.

About the Team

The Machine Learning Engineering organization is responsible for:

• Building infrastructure and tooling to power ML and AI features at scale for millions of users
• Developing and deploying platform-wide recommendations to help companies follow HR best practices
• Embedding AI ethics as a first-class citizen in all processes
• Staying current with cutting-edge machine learning technologies and practices
• Working in a collaborative, fully remote environment

Primary Responsibilities

• Leadership: Independently lead one or more Machine Learning Engineering and/or Engineering teams developing and enhancing ML infrastructure and solutions
• Strategic Direction: Help shape the direction of AI/ML initiatives and drive delivery of business outcomes
• Team Development: Invest in the growth and development of team members through coaching, mentorship, and career planning
• Culture Building: Build a collaborative, high-performing culture within and across teams
• Execution: Maintain commitment to exceptional results and continuous improvement
• Scale: Develop AI platforms that scale to impact millions of employees daily

Work Arrangement

• Fully remote position with no in-office requirements
• Must be available five days per week during designated work hours
• Location of record must be within the United States
• Work arrangement may be subject to change based on business needs and performance
