Senior iOS Engineer, 3D / Metal

Role Overview

Senior iOS Engineer focused on building and integrating 3D immersive experiences into the Zillow iOS app. You'll solve key architectural challenges and drive features that enable millions of users to experience virtual home tours.

Responsibilities

• Design and build iOS features for Zillow's 3D and immersive home-tour experiences
• Own and solve architectural challenges in integrating advanced 3D capabilities into the iOS app
• Craft high-quality user experiences that make virtual home touring feel natural, fast, and engaging
• Drive features end-to-end, collaborating with product, research, engineering, and business teams
• Partner with computer vision and machine learning experts to push mobile device capabilities
• Contribute to both capture and viewing experiences, from prototypes to production
• Champion best practices in performance, scalability, testing, and code quality for graphics-heavy apps
• Explore and influence new immersive technologies and approaches

Requirements

• 5+ years of software application and systems development experience, including mobile consumer applications
• Strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem with customer-focused attitude
• Experience with immersive or graphics-heavy technologies: ARKit, Metal, immersive media, imaging, graphics, AVFoundation, or AR/VR APIs
• Proficiency in performance profiling and optimization for mobile devices
• Track record of building high-quality software with strong design, coding, testing, and debugging practices
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills using data and metrics to inform decisions
• Comfort working in fast-paced, agile environments
