Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer (Web-first, Cross-Platform) - Lead frontend development for high-traffic, cross-platform applications with focus on performance-optimized web experiences. This role combines hands-on engineering, architectural influence, and performance leadership in a flexible, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize web-first features while contributing to cross-platform initiatives
• Develop and ship production-ready features in React (SPA) with TypeScript
• Contribute to Astro-based static and mixed-rendering architecture, optimizing SSR, SSG, and hydration workflows
• Implement performance improvements that enhance Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and overall user experience
• Apply technical SEO best practices, including metadata, structured data, and crawl-safe patterns
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to move features across platforms and handle performance-sensitive native integrations
• Use AI agents to assist with component generation, testing, and performance optimization
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and iterative shipping with focus on measurable results

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of rendering models: CSR, SSR, SSG, and hydration
• Experience optimizing performance-sensitive surfaces and improving Core Web Vitals
• Familiarity with technical SEO concepts, including indexability, structured data, and crawl behavior
• Ability to navigate and contribute to existing codebases independently
• Willingness to work across web and mobile surfaces when required

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience directing AI agents for frontend work
• Experience with Astro or other mixed-rendering frameworks (Next.js, Remix)
• React Native, native iOS/Android development
• High-traffic consumer products experience
• Experimentation-heavy environments
