About the role
Role Overview
Senior Frontend Engineer supporting a leading retail expert on a highly visible and fast-moving initiative for 2026. This is a limited 6-month remote engagement based in BC, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the navigation team and PDP (Product Detail Page) team
- Build high-quality, reusable React interfaces
- Participate in all team agile responsibilities
- Debug and optimize application performance
- Contribute to team discussions and share technical insights
Required Experience
- 6+ years as a software engineer specializing in frontend development
- 2+ years supporting enterprise-level organizations
- Expert-level proficiency with React, JavaScript, and Next.js and/or micro frontends
- 6+ years writing high-quality CSS/SCSS and HTML for reusable components
- Experience with application observability, performance, and accessibility (A11y)
- Familiarity with GraphQL, Node.js, and AWS
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing directions
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working for retail and/or e-commerce organizations (e.g., Nordstrom, REI)
