Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js) — Full-Time, Contract

Role Overview

We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build a world-class UI/UX for our new platform using React and our custom design system (Asterisk). You'll work with a fully remote, high-quality team committed to trust, continuous improvement, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage React and TypeScript to craft clean, beautiful, maintainable, extensible, and secure code
• Refactor and modernize codebases to increase maintainability, performance, and enable rapid iteration
• Drive innovative problem-solving on challenging engineering problems including:
  • Reusable and responsive UI components
  • App global state management
  • Validations and error handling
  • Theme management
  • Rendering performance optimization
  • JavaScript bundle optimizations
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Product Management, Customer Success, and other teams to enable well-informed business decision-making
• Be an inspiring and supportive teammate by following engineering processes, communicating frequently, participating in PR reviews, pair programming, and providing active feedback

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of meaningful experience as a contributor to a data-driven architecture at scale
• Problem-solver who isn't afraid to go deep, experiment, and learn on the fly
• Passionate about turning complex business requirements into elegant software that delights users
• Flexible and able to achieve specified UI/UX behavior, look, and feel from specs and requirements
• Humble but opinionated with lots of ideas while remaining open to better approaches
• Active collaborator who values early and frequent feedback
• Comfortable in dynamic environments making measurable progress amid competing priorities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
