Role Overview

Join Edmunds' Data Science Team to design and implement next-generation data and AI-driven product initiatives. You will work on integrating Generative AI technology into the car buying experience, developing ML & AI prototypes and production-grade services that directly improve existing products and inspire new experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Product Collaboration

• Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to build scalable, high-impact ML and AI systems
• Collaborate on end-to-end development from ideation to deployment
• Ensure data-driven solutions are seamlessly integrated into products and services

LLM Integration and Optimization

• Oversee integration and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in an agentic framework
• Optimize model performance and scalability to enhance user experience and drive business results

ML Lifecycle Management

• Own the complete ML lifecycle: problem framing, data sourcing, modeling, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Build, manage, and maintain reliable data pipelines and ML workflows
• Ensure reproducibility through versioning, testing, documentation, and model lineage

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, OR
• Advanced degree + 3-4 years of work experience in an analytics-related position, OR
• 5+ years of work experience in a data science-related position
• Deep understanding of data platforms
• Experience deploying and scaling machine learning models including automating model training, optimizing runtime performance, and deployment processes
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ML frameworks with strong coding skills
• Experience using data to intelligently optimize product performance
• Excitement about staying current with Generative AI advancements
