Senior Backend Engineer - Integration

Role Overview

Join Sifflet as a Senior Backend Engineer focused on building and maintaining integrations with various data products. You will design and implement new integrations, lead technical improvements, and help elevate team standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new integrations with various data products, researching and understanding the behavior of each data source
• Make necessary changes to architecture and implementation to scale the data ingestion engine, handling large-scale instances
• Lead technical improvements to codebase and architecture while integrating multiple external services
• Coach and mentor other engineers to elevate team standards
• Take ownership of projects from design to production
• Add support for new integration types

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a backend engineer or equivalent
• Fluency in French (required for team communication)
• General knowledge of data warehouses, data visualization solutions, and ETL pipelines
• Strong software development fundamentals
• Ownership mindset and ability to take initiative
• Willingness to learn Java and Spring Boot if not already familiar

Nice-to-Haves

• Data engineering background with software development experience
• Familiarity with the Java/Spring Boot ecosystem
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud infrastructure
