About the role
Role Overview
Join Chainlink Labs' Product Security team as a Security Engineer to design, build, and deploy security tools and controls across the company. You'll help shape the security architecture of core Chainlink products and the broader Web3 ecosystem, working on both defensive systems and novel security innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build security tools and controls deployed across the company
- Design, develop, and deploy new core security features to Chainlink core node and public products
- Define new processes and systems that make attacks difficult to execute and easy to detect
- Conduct security reviews on engineering and non-engineering projects to ensure security is fundamental to design
- Help define and achieve the company's broader security goals
- Advise other teams on secure and scalable architectures and assist with implementation
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with Go or Rust
- Prior experience in a security-related function
- Experience building security software or securing enterprise systems
- Comfortable with *nix operating systems (including macOS)
- Ability to adapt to fast-changing environments and technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience writing or auditing Solidity
- Experience auditing or securing frontends (React, NPM)
- Strong understanding of cryptography (TLS, FIDO, encryption, public key cryptography)
- Familiarity with security analysis tools and frameworks
- Enthusiasm for Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks with experience in tooling development, hardware wallets, and deployments
- Open source software experience with GitHub portfolio
Work Environment
- Location: Fully remote, global
- Timezone: Overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST) preferred
