About the role

Role Overview

Scrum Master for a 100% remote team supporting a large federal government project. This role involves leading Agile practices across multiple teams, managing backlogs, solving problems creatively, and identifying continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate scrum meetings and eliminate blockers (PI Planning, Retrospectives, Daily Stand-ups, Demos)
  • Build relationships to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation across cross-functional Agile software development teams supporting CI/CD
  • Promote Agile quality practices, coordinate across organizations, and serve as a resource for guidance
  • Advise government personnel on process standardization improvements
  • Work directly with senior-level client leadership teams in client-delivery engagements

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific/technical discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Agile Expertise: Proven experience leading Agile development teams with automated application deployments, scaling, and management
  • Technical Background: Experience with large-scale software development, data management, and software integration projects
  • SAFe Framework: Expertise required; SAFe Certified Scrum Master certification required
  • Communication: Experience facilitating briefings to senior leadership and capturing action items
  • Documentation: Highly detail-oriented with technical documentation skills
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain Government clearance
  • Location: Must reside within continental US

  • Department of Veterans Affairs experience and familiarity with their tools and processes
  • Project and Configuration Management tools (Jira, GitHub)
  • Technical background and experience in technical disciplines
  • InterSystems technology experience
  • Healthcare-related experience
