Role Overview
Join JustFOIA as a Scrum Master to lead agile teams and fulfill project direction established by the product strategy team. You will act as a project subject matter expert, defining detailed requirements, managing stakeholder interactions, and ensuring development teams have the information needed to deliver complete projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the project subject matter expert for the development team
- Understand and track project budget, scope, and timeline to maintain balance
- Translate product strategy and vision into detailed requirements
- Work with stakeholders to define project scope and prioritize the backlog
- Clarify details for the team during application development
- Communicate client commitments and timelines internally
- Manage dependencies in and across releases
- Facilitate work across development teams for efficient and consistent completion
- Lead backlog refinement to decompose and estimate stories
- Drive iteration priorities via prioritized stories
- Demonstrate products to customers and gather feedback
- Track project impediments and progress toward resolution
- Run Theory of Constraints daily to identify process improvements
- Verify QA completed stories meet Definition of Done
- Hold teams accountable to established processes
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Deep expertise in Agile philosophy with emphasis on Scrum process
- Understanding of agile methodologies, Scrum framework principles, values, and practices
- Ability to lead all Scrum ceremonies
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, resolve conflicts, and create trust
- Risk management skills with ability to anticipate and mitigate issues
- Strong organizational skills to keep teams on track
- Adaptability and problem-solving abilities
Nice-to-Haves
- Agile certifications: A-CSPO, A-CSM, or PMI-ACP
- Experience handling projects ranging from $100 to $1,000,000
