Remote DevSecOps Engineer

Role Overview

Join Insight Global as a Systems-focused DevSecOps Engineer supporting a dynamic, fast-paced program. You will work remotely alongside system engineers, automation testing teams, and developers, implementing security best practices within DevOps workflows and managing AWS infrastructure at an expert level.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement security best practices within DevOps workflows
• Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services across multiple projects and domains
• Administer and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS CLI and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation)
• Manage container technologies and deployment pipelines (Jenkins, ECS)
• Troubleshoot Linux systems and optimize cloud solutions
• Create Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation
• Collaborate with software development teams in Agile/SAFe environments
• Work with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, and GitHub
• Support both internal teams and multiple contractors in a collaborative environment

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years in IT or related field
• 7+ years implementing security best practices within DevOps workflows or related experience
• 5+ years implementing Amazon services across various projects and domains
• AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise
• Strong container technology knowledge
• Hands-on Linux administration experience
• Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS cloud computing models
• AWS deployment experience using scripts and AWS CLI
• Knowledge of SDLC engineering practices
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related major
• Proficiency with deployment and management tools (Jenkins, CloudFormation)
• Experience with Amazon compute and networking services (ECS, CloudWatch, NAT Gateway)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in Agile/SAFe environments
• Understanding of public and private cloud models
• Administration experience with JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, GitHub
