About the role

Role Overview

Product Manager I responsible for owning the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Foundational Services development team. This is a hands-on PM role leading a key product used by thousands of customers weekly, partnering closely with engineering, design, customer service, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Research & Discovery: Determine customer needs through internal/external research, conduct customer interviews and surveys, analyze user behavior, and develop solutions
  • Competitive Analysis: Categorize business problems, conduct competitive research, and provide inputs to design teams for solution development
  • Product Backlog Management: Craft and maintain the product backlog; work with design and engineering to define, groom, and execute epics and features that drive customer value
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Capture problems in user stories, ensure features and releases are well communicated and understood, coordinate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Scope & Prioritization: Negotiate acceptance criteria with stakeholders, balance scope for immediate vs. future delivery, provide strong evidence and rationale for decisions
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Rigorously leverage data and analytics to drive decisions, features, and design
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with leadership, engineering, design, strategy, and implementation teams to drive initiatives; ensure alignment across product teams

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in B2B/SaaS/Web product management
  • Demonstrated technical PM experience or experience working with API-based products
  • Proven track record leading substantial aspects of product management (identifying opportunities, defining roadmaps, creating business cases, driving execution, measuring results)
  • Data-driven approach to scope and priority management
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Jira, PivotalTracker, Trello, or equivalent project management software

  • Experience in the P&C insurance space
